The AWA
was formed in order to foster camaraderie among all
ranks of the Asymmetric Warfare Group, provide a forum
for information programs not otherwise available,
provide revenue to support scholarships, charitable
donations and the giving of gifts and mementos symbolic
of the camaraderie, humility and generosity
traditionally associated with military service members.
Membership
in the Association is voluntary and open to all service
members and civilians assigned to the Asymmetric Warfare
Group (AWG), contract personnel currently working for
the AWG, and to all former members who have left the
Group in good standing. Lifetime memberships are
available to members in good standing upon departing the
Group due to permanent change of duty station,
separation from the service or retirement.
Honorary or Associate memberships are available to non-AWG
members who have made significant contributions to the
Association.
The AWA is
administered in accordance with an approved constitution
under the supervision of a President, Vice President,
Secretary and Treasurer. The President serves as the
Chief Executive Office. |
